MoSSEC Business Scenarios

The different phases of systems engineering each have their own engineering problems to solve involving different types of information and data at different levels of maturity. However they all have the business need to establish the traceability of that data through the system lifecycle and evolution. There are mature PLM platforms in the marketplace that manage traceability, however the distinguishing feature of the traceability business scenarios targeted by MoSSEC is the need for traceability between domain teams, between platforms and between organizations

Interaction with other Standards

MoSSEC will provide the standard for the systems engineering context information which is linked to the modelling and simulation data whenever it is shared or exchanged.

For more information on how MoSSEC interacts with:

  • Technical standards such as STEP and LOTAR

  • Linked data standards such as OSLC

  • Systems Engineering standards such as ISO 15288
